START TO TAKE ACTION – PART 1
The aim of the Diet Evolu7ion Programme is not just to help you understand the reasons you are overweight, but to help you change……permanently.
And that means doing things differently. Many of the poor eating habits and emotional behaviours you have learnt have been there since childhood.
The only way to change these is to take action – in fact take massive action – and do things differently.

The following exercise will retune the power of your mind, and thereby allow you to start transforming your self-beliefs and break free of unhelpful limitations.
EXERCISE: BREAK FREE OF YOUR LIMITATIONS
Beliefs create your experience. In any situation we seek evidence to prove that our existing beliefs are right – even if they cause us problems.
Take some time to think about the beliefs you hold about yourself and your life.
They may be connected to food, nutrition and losing weight or anything else, ie: ‘I cannot lose weight easily’ ; ‘If I lose weight then I will put it all back on again’ ; ‘I am overweight because I am greedy’ ; ‘I have no control over my eating habits’
In order to start loosening these beliefs, answer the following questions for each of the main beliefs you identified –

HOW TRUE DOES YOUR BELIEF FEEL ON A SCALE OF 1 - 5, WHERE 1 IS ABSOLUTELY TRUE, AND 5 IS ABSOLUTELY FALSE?

HAS IT BEEN A HELPFUL OR UNHELPFUL BELIEF? (KEEP A NOTE OF THE HELPFUL BELIEFS)

IF IT’S BEEN UNHELPFUL, HOW DO YOU PROVE THIS BELIEF IS TRUE IN YOUR LIFE?

CAN YOU FIND ONE OR MORE INSTANCES IN YOUR LIFE WHEN IT HASN’T BEEN TRUE?

WHAT WOULD BE A MORE EMPOWERING OR USEFUL BELIEF FOR YOU TO HOLD?
