HYDRATE YOURSELF!
One thing that will greatly support you in your efforts to lose weight is that natural, refreshing, easily accessible, magic elixir of life – WATER!
When you drink water, it is easier to establish when you are truly hungry.

This is because our bodies are made up of more than 75% water, and that figure increases to approximately 85% in the all important area of the brain. When the body’s inner mechanism of water level regulation senses any dehydration in the tissues, or impending water shortage, your body will immediately go into selective ‘water rationing mode’.
The brain will always be the first area to receive rations, with each internal organ receiving just enough water to maintain basic functioning.
In fact, many of the aches and pains we experience on a daily basis, from muscle pain to headaches and including hunger, are actually the initial stages of dehydration - your body is actually crying out, sending you a message for water.
This is one of the reasons why sometimes no matter what you eat, it doesn’t feel as if it hits the spot.
Because there is virtually no difference between the body’s thirst signal and authentic hunger, it’s a good idea to respond to ‘hunger pangs’ first of all with a fresh glass of water.
If you’re no longer hungry after drinking water, you’ll know it was a thirst signal.
If you are still hungry, eat something – CONSCIOUSLY!
Another helpful tip is to start each meal or snack with a fresh glass of water. That way, you will be hydrated before you begin, and more likely to maintain a healthy level of hydration throughout the day.
Eat Well,
